RobotFX MetaTrader Fix
Is one of our RobotFX trading tools closing your MetaTrader terminal?
Do not panic — this is usually caused by a configuration or account setup issue, and it can be resolved quickly.
If this happens to you, follow the steps below
If you are not a RobotFX customer
- Do not use the EA or indicator on a live account — it will not function correctly without a valid license. Please test it on a demo account first before purchasing.
- If the tool still closes MetaTrader on a demo account, contact your broker and ask them to ensure your account is correctly configured as a demo account, not a live account.
- Ensure you are properly connected to your broker’s trading server. Connection issues, weekend closures, or holidays may prevent proper verification.
Some brokers configure demo accounts to behave like live accounts. In such cases, the EA uses the IsDemo() function to determine account type and may stop execution if the configuration is incorrect.
If you are a RobotFX customer
- Make sure you are using the exact version of the Expert Advisor or indicator sent to you by email. Demo versions downloaded from the website are not licensed for live trading accounts.
- Verify that you have entered your email address correctly in the ClientEmail input field within the EA settings.
- Ensure you are using the EA only on the trading accounts that were licensed. If you need to change or add accounts, you can request a license update via the license change page.
- If the EA still closes MetaTrader on a demo account, contact your broker and confirm the account type configuration.
- Ensure you are connected to the broker’s server at all times, especially during trading sessions.
- Enable Allow DLL Imports in MetaTrader settings if required by the Expert Advisor.
