RobotFX Troubleshooting

If you believe something is not functioning as described, please follow these steps in order. Most issues arise from a misunderstanding of EA functionality or minor configuration errors, such as forgetting to enable Auto Trading.

1. Review Documentation and Tutorials

Visit the product page to carefully read the description and instructions. Ensure you have watched all available videos, as they often clarify intended functionality.

It has happened before that traders assumed an Expert Advisor was supposed to perform a specific action that it was never designed to do.

2. Configure MetaTrader Settings

Ensure that AutoTrading is enabled and that you have granted permission for Live Trading and DLL imports. Check the "Experts" tab in your terminal logs for any specific error messages.

Enable the AutoTrading, Allow live trading, Allow DLL imports and check the Experts logs for errors.
This is basic MetaTrader knowledge. While this video may help, please ensure you are comfortable using MT4/MT5 before utilizing automated tools.

3. Verify Client Configuration (Clients Only)

If you are using a personalized EA on a live account, ensure your email is correctly entered in the ClientEmail input. This step is not required for demo accounts.

4. Submit a Help Request

If the issue persists, please fill out the Help Request Form. When doing so, please include all required information, such as your saved settings:

Limitations on Support

We cannot provide assistance for the following issues:

  • Broker Restrictions: Some brokers do not allow hedging (opening opposite orders on the same chart). Ensure your broker supports this if your EA requires it.
  • Broker/Trading Limits: Limits displayed on the chart are imposed by your broker. If your lot size is outside the allowed range or not a multiplier of the lot step, orders will not execute.
  • Demo Account Classification: Some brokers misidentify demo accounts as live. If your EA closes the terminal, please contact your broker to correct your account status.
  • Trading Performance: We provide the automation tool; your results depend on your trading strategy and knowledge.
